Are you looking for a therapist that doesn’t need to be taught about gender identity or sexuality, and instead just wants to understand you? I might be the right therapist for you. I have a background in human sexuality studies as well as clinical psychology, so I can start by understanding your identities and experiences, instead of expecting you to educate me.

I practice from a feminist-humanistic theoretical lens. This means that even if our sessions do not explicitly name the power, privilege and oppression occurring in the session and outside of it, I am always mindful of the ways my field has historically and presently cause harm. I practice from a place of decolonizing myself and my work. As a humanistic therapist, I focus less on the diagnostic label, and more on supporting the people I work with achieve growth, insight, and relief from symptoms. While I am very competent in diagnosis, I prefer to focus less on a label unless that is meaningful to you.
